Julie Peasgood is a successful and versatile TV presenter and journalist as well as an established actress. She currently presents Cruise Today for The Travel Channel and has received the prestigious Television Personality of the Year award from the Royal Television Society. Julie brought her warmth and humour to The Alan Titchmarsh Show (ITV1) where she was resident relationships expert for three years. She has also been a guest presenter on Loose Women (ITV1) and The Wright Stuff (C5) and regularly reviewed the papers on The Steve Allen Show on LBC Radio.
Her other presenting credits include This Morning (ITV1) where she won considerable acclaim as guest co-presenter, collectables series Bootsale Challenge (ITV1), gardening series Turf Wars (UKTV), money programme The Ocean Effect (Sky), culinary magazine show Good Food Live (UKTV) and DIY series How To (Discovery). She presented the travel programme Hot Zones and wrote, directed and presented A Buyers Guide to Spain, both for Real Estate TV. Julie is the anchor for The Life Channel, and as an entertaining and informative guest speaker she frequently gives talks and lectures on a diverse range of subjects, as well as hosting corporate events and award ceremonies.
As an actress, Julies career has spanned over 35 years of prestigious theatre and television. She spent five years with The Royal Shakespeare Company and her numerous TV credits include Holby City, Taggart, Doctors, September Song,Luv, Spender, The Billand First Born. But she is probably best remembered for her work in soaps as Barry Grants long-suffering partner Fran in Brookside, Alan Turners motorbike-riding girlfriend Jo in Emmerdale and the effervescent Jacqui in Hollyoaks. She is also one of the countrys leading voice-over artists, with hundreds of TV and radio commercials to her name.
Julie is an award-winning author and has written agony aunt columns for Yours, Now and No.1 magazines. She currently has a column in the The Sunday Mirror Celebs magazine, and writes about travel and lifestyle for leading newspapers, magazines and websites, including The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Express, Best, Woman, Bella, Metro and The Mail on Sunday.
