Joanna Williams

Joanna Williams

Author and commentator.
Dr Joanna Williams taught in schools, further and higher education for over twenty years, most recently as Director of the University of Kents Centre for the Study of Higher Education. Joanna is the author of Academic Freedom in an Age of Conformity (2016) and Consuming Higher Education, Why Learning Cant Be Bought (2012). Her latest book, Women Versus Feminism, Why We All Need Liberating from the Gender Wars will be published October 2017.

Joanna speaks about academic freedom, higher education, feminism, the gender pay gap, children and families. She has spoken at universities, schools and public events throughout the UK and in the US.

Her speeches are well received. Her views are thoroughly substantiated from research and experience - but they are also provocative and challenging - a great way to engage audiences in discussion.

Joanna is the education editor of the online magazine Spiked and a frequent contributor to The Spectator. She has written for numerous other publications from the Times Higher Education to the Erotic Review.
