John Blakey
John Blakey is committed to helping CEOs and organisations achieve their goals by relying upon the power of trust rather than trusting in power.
In 2016, John Blakey published 'The Trusted Executive' which was shortlisted as the Chartered Management Institute book of the year and led to John being named as a top 100 global thought leader in trust by Trust Across America. John's prize-winning doctoral research on the nine habits of trust at Aston Business School has been featured in Forbes, Inc. Magazine, The Huffington Post and on the BBC's 'Daily Politics' programme.
John has delivered keynote speaker sessions to thousands of business leaders around the world, including corporate events for HP, IBM, EY, Amcor, the Liberal Democrat Party and the Horasis global summit. He is a member of the Vistage speaker bureaus in the UK, US and Canada where he delivers CEO workshops that draw upon his experience as a former FTSE100 international managing director, highly successful entrepreneur and executive coach to over 120 CEOs from 22 different countries.
John's previous book, 'Challenging Coaching', co-authored with Ian Day, features the FACTS coaching model and was inspired by his executive coaching experience with various Team GB sports, premiership football clubs and England cricket. Six years after its publication, 'Challenging Coaching' remains one of the best-selling leadership books in the UK.
In 2016, John founded the Trusted Executive Foundation - a not for profit organisation that offers 'Journey of Trust' leadership development programmes to the corporate sector. The goal of the Foundation is to gift over £1m to UK Christian-led charities over the next ten years.
