HEALTH AND WELLBEING COACH & MENTOR
After graduating with a B.Sc in Psychology, from University College London (U.C.L) Harriet Waley-Cohen enjoyed a successful decade long career in investment management, managing a communications team in a deadline driven and pressured environment. Whilst it satisfied her inner news junkie, the long hours werent compatible with motherhood.
After having her two children, now aged 6 and 9, Harriet retrained as a health coach with Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), New York. This involved the study of major dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques and innovative coaching methods with some of the worlds most renowned health and wellness experts, including Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weil, and Dr. David Katz. This training built on Harriets 13 years of voluntary mentoring of young women with drug and alcohol issues, and further enabled her to pursue what really matters to her helping others to change their lives.
In recent years Harriet has built a thriving business as a speaker and coach, empowering people to become the healthiest, happiest and most confident version of themselves through her coaching, talks, workshops and retreats. Areas of specialisation include confidence including body confidence, self-esteem, energy, diet, changing drinking habits, life balance, sexuality and habit change. Harriet runs regular workshops on confidence, body confidence and embracing sexuality, and is also on the expert panel for Club Soda, the network for people who want to change their drinking. Harriet regularly gives workshops here on how to be happier, more confident and more fulfilled with less alcohol in your life.
Harriet has experienced several life transformations herself, including leaving the city and starting her own business, curing her body of allergies and eczema using diet and lifestyle alone, leaving an unhappy marriage and going on to flourish, and being in recovery from addictions for over 14 years. Harriet deeply understands the kind of support, persistence and commitment it makes to make sustained life changes.
Harriet Waley-Cohen is a true people-person who looks for the best in everyone she meets. Valuing honesty and trust highly, she is guided by the same emotional integrity that has also helped her successfully navigate her own life transformations. Her mission is to inspire contagious belief in the possibility for life changing transformations in others, and nothing makes her happier than passing on the best tools that she has picked up throughout all her training, coaching and life experience.
